Nosy Tanihely National Park is famous for the diversity of its landscapes, whether marine or coastal, offering a multitude of activities, from sea excursions to land excursions.

On the 10 hectares of the island, remarkable floristic richness is present, with 38 botanical families comprising 81 genera and 89 different species. Regarding terrestrial fauna, the park is home to 15 bird species, a few reptiles, a bat species (Pteropus rufus), and two species of lemurs (Eulemur macaco and Eulemur fulvus).

For divers, Tanihely National Park offers a true underwater paradise extending over a radius of 700 meters around the lighthouse overlooking the island, with an area of 340 hectares where fishing is strictly prohibited. A quick dive allows easy observation of an abundance of live corals, accentuated by anemones.

One can find all the diversity of tropical marine fauna from the Indian Ocean, with clownfish residing in anemones, crocodile fish, butterflyfish, white-spotted surgeonfish, goatfish, snappers, groupers, moray eels, trevallies, barracudas, and more.

Not to mention the blue-spotted stingrays and the presence of two species of turtles, green and hawksbill, evolving among the magnificent gorgonians, anemones, and other echinoderms. Exploring the rocks along the coast, visitors can also observe curious small fish with legs, called mudskippers.
